High Bank Distillery Co. announces the release of its limited-edition America 250 Whiskey War Double Double Oaked, a commemorative bottling created to honor the 250th Anniversary of the United States in partnership with OHLQ. With a total of 1,776 bottles, this special release features High Bank's award-winning Whiskey War Double Double Oaked (Their classic Whiskey War Barrel Proof has been aged a second and third time in new oak barrels, with a total age statement of almost 7 years) presented in a custom America 250 label designed to celebrate the nation's historic milestone. Whiskey War Double Double Oaked earned Best in Class honors at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and has become one of High Bank Distillery's most acclaimed expressions.
"America's 250th anniversary is a once-in-a-generation milestone, and we wanted to create a whiskey worthy of that celebration.’ says Master Distiller Adam Hines. ‘We selected our award-winning Whiskey War Double Double Oaked because it represents the depth and complexity that define our distilling philosophy. The additional aging in second and third new oak barrels creates remarkable layers of flavor while preserving the bold character of Whiskey War. We're honored to mark America's 250th anniversary with a whiskey that's every bit as memorable as the occasion itself."

On the nose, this whiskey opens with rich hard-shell chocolate layered with warming chili flake, nutmeg, cracked peppercorn and hazelnut.
The palate follows with milk chocolate-covered pretzels, charred cherry, vanilla wafer alongside hints of sweet tobacco.
The finish lingers with warming chai spice, soft tobacco and a touch of fresh-cut oak.
