Golden Sheaf Bourbon Batch 3 & Rye Batch 2 Now Available
|
I love a historic brand combined with modern blending. Golden Sheaf is a perfect example of this. And after some extremely fast sell outs in their home state we're excited to have them on Seelbach's. Produced in 1866, Golden Sheaf was popular amongst Bourbon drinkers in America. Unfortunately, Golden Sheaf, like many others, didn't survive Prohibition. The label was dormmate for more than 100 years. In 2020, whiskey enthusiast David Young resurrected the label. It would be easy to take a fancy label and source from a well know distiller. Young took it a step further. Both the Batch 3 Bourbon and Batch 2 Rye are 4-grain blends from Kentucky, Indiana, and Louisiana, and both averaging 9 years old. This may be the first Louisiana bourbon we've ever sold on Seelbach's! The attention to detail shows through in this whiskey. The flavor profile is familiar on the palate but incredibly nuanced as you dive into the nose.
