Tasting Notes: Roasted almonds, black pepper and caramel open up the nose. Well balanced and well rounded from top to bottom on a solid nose. But, on the palate this bourbon comes alive. Rich sweetness of maple candy and bubble gum. That starts to pickup into cinnamon and raisins. This leads to a long finish of orange rind and herbal tea.
About Starlight: Starlight Distillery is a family-owned distillery in Starlight, IN. The distillery started out as a family farm in 1940. It's had multiple evolutions over the years. In 1978, the Huber's started their winery. Then in 2000 the Huber's took the next step and received approval to open the distillery. Starlight is farm-focused and produces many single-origin products. I think they're the only distillery I know that is a working farm, orchard, market, tourist destination, winery, banquet hall, and distillery!
