St Augustine Distillery Florida Straight Bourbon

Regular price $0.00 $49.99 Sale

Mash Bill: 60/22/18 Corn/Malted Barley/Wheat

Barrel: 53-Gallon

Proof: 88 proof

Age: 3+ Years

St. Augustine Distillery is proud to present Florida Straight Bourbon. The grains are milled and mashed onsite, and fermented with proprietary yeast strains in closed-top fermenters. The mash is distilled in a Vendome 750-gallon stripping still, and the spent grains are sent to local farmers for cattle feed – eliminating any waste from the process. The resulting low wines are then distilled to final proof in a Vendome 550-gallon spirit still.

St. Augustine's Florida Straight Bourbon spent its entire life in premium, 53-gallon new oak bourbon barrels from Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville, KY. Staves are seasoned for 18 months prior to coopering bringing enzymes to the surface which creates the ideal levels of tannins and wood sugars during the charring process. Aged in the Florida heat, the bourbon balances the heat and dryness from the barrel with the sweetness from the grain bill. The high percentage of malted barley provide note reminiscent of a single malt.

To Use:

Rocks glass with one large ice cube. The addition of an orange peel is optional.

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
