Sale
Age: 8-years old
Proof: 117.4 proof / 58.7 APV
Barrel No: #27
Mash Bill: 74% Corn, 18% Rye, 8% Malted Barley
Tasting Notes:
The nose is dark and heavy with rich sugars, chocolate covered raisins, barrel char, and a touch of mint.
The palate leads with hefty dark fruits and more perfumed cinnamon stick than most of the other barrels we selected. Not necessarily dry or heated cinnamon, but definitely rustic baking spices with lots of cranberry, cherry, plum, and raisin.
The finish is long with dark chocolate and raisin, and lots of fresh spiced wood.
About the Product:
Take the off-ramp and wander along the very river banks where bourbon whiskey first flowed. Old Route 8 invites you to slow down and explore. This exceptional 8-year, cask strength; single barrel bourbon has been crafted in the true Kentucky tradition and patiently matured to offer an elevated experience that can be enjoyed every day.
Like the thoroughfare it is named after, Old Route 8 connects bourbon’s past and present and invites you to join in the journey.
