Batch Notes: This batch was blended in collaboration with Mark Carter, and is exclusively composed entirely of 11 year old bourbons. Like all of Mark’s whiskeys it has the addition of some double-barreled bourbon, for this it was a small amount, but impactful. This is one of five private batches Old Carter released this month, Mark has described PLDC-4 as his personal favorite batch he’s released to date.

The whiskey shows great depth and balance, with a rich fruit forward core, vanilla, and a seamlessly integrated oak presence. The influence of the double-barreled component lends a subtle “spice box” quality, nutmeg, clove etc. which is a signature attribute that has become a hallmark of Old Carter.

About Old Carter: Old Carter Whiskey Co. is the personal passion project of Mark Carter, a longtime creator of fine wines and whiskies. His journey began in the Napa Valley wine world, where his Carter Cellars Cabernets earned nine perfect 100-point scores from top critics.
