Sale
Age: 6-years 1-month
Proof: 112.3 proof
Mash bill: 78/17/5 White Corn/Rye/Malt
Barrel: New Char #4 53g Barrel
Bottle Count: 199 bottles
Tasting Notes: The nose is beautifully fragrant and desserty. Grilled peaches, pecan pie, date pudding, all with aromatic leather, seasoned oak, vanilla bean, and a touch of fresh rosemary.
The palate is voluptuous. There’s this honey drizzled peaches and cream right on the front of the palate before gobs of vanilla, layered of custard, chewy date fruitiness, and rich, raw almond lingering.
The finish is hearty and long, continuing with the dates, vanilla, and raw almond from the palate before transitioning to dark chocolate and trailing mature oak and soft linger of cigar smoke.
About: MB Roland Distillery was founded by Paul & Merry Beth (“MB”) Tomaszewski in 2009 as Kentucky’s first completely “grain to glass” craft distillery. Paul is a native of southeastern Louisiana and arrived to the area via nearby Ft Campbell, while MB is a local native. An Amish dairy farm came up for sale and proved to be a wonderful foundation for a Kentucky craft distillery. One of the major benefits of the location is their proximity to their local grain supplier, Christian County Grain, located in nearby Pembroke.
