2022 Single Cask #3: Frey Ranch Distillery Nevada Four Grain Straight Bourbon

We hand-selected this cask from Frey Ranch in northern Nevada, where Colby and Ashley Frey have transformed their fifth-generation family farm into one of the most exciting distilleries in the country.

Frey Ranch is located in a unique farming oasis in the watershed of Lake Tahoe, an island of greenery in the shadow of the Sierra Nevada. And the Frey family has been ranching or farming in the region since 1854 when Nevada was still a territory.

This 5-year-old straight bourbon whiskey was made from 67% corn, 12% two-row malted barley, 11% winter rye, and 10% soft white winter wheat, all grown at Frey Ranch. It has spicy, earthy fruit flavors, with notes of black cherry and caramel vanilla creams.
