Kings County Private Bourbon Blend "Spring 2025" - Selected by Seelbach's

Regular price $89.99 Sale

Age: 4, 6 and 7-years old

Proof: 90 proof

Mash bill: 80/20 New York State Organic Corn/English Malt

Tasting Notes:

Bottle count: 316 bottles

The Blend: This bourbon blend brings together three distinct components, each adding depth and character to the final whiskey. Nearly half of the blend—45%—comes from a bold 4-year-old bourbon aged in full-size 53-gallon barrels from West Virginia, with a heavy Char 4 that brings out rich oak and caramelized notes. Another 24% is a 7-year-old bourbon, also matured in 53-gallon barrels crafted by Independent Stave Company (ISC), contributing layers of aged complexity, dark spice, and a refined sweetness. The final 31% is a unique mix of 6- and 7-year-old bourbons aged in smaller 15-gallon barrels from The Barrel Mill, charred to level 3. These smaller barrels accelerate the aging process, offering bursts of toasted vanilla, spice, and concentrated flavor that tie the blend together. The result is a well-structured bourbon that balances youthful energy with mature richness and a touch of craft-driven intensity.

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
