Mash Bill: 64/14/14/8 (Wisconsin Red Corn/Rye/Wheat/Barley)
Proof: 119.4 proof Barrel Strength
Age: 4+ Years
Tasting Notes: The nose is butterscotch, brown sugar, leather, and slightly smokey and savory vanilla. Well spiced, in traditional J. Henry style.
The palate is black pepper and cinnamon spiced with sweeter notes of honey and brown sugar growing on the palate. Theres a subtle dark cherry note buried in the spices as well.
The finish is long and dry, with more trails of red fruits and long lasting honey, tobacco, and oak.
About: These are the best barrels in our rickhouse, so good in fact that we do not want to proof them down in any way or blend them together with other barrels to hide their uniqueness. These single barrels are bottled at cask strength to maintain the purest expression of our product. This is a bold, yet dangerously drinkable high proof bourbon. Reward yourself with a neat pour or throw some water or ice to experience an explosion of flavors, just like taking a whiskey thief straight to our rick house and taking a sample!
