Tasting Notes: The nose bounces between a cherry cordial, cherry cobbler and a rhubarb pie with a subtle tobacco that sneaks up on you the longer you allow it to air out.  You can focus on the cherry, baking spices, oak individually or all together in a lovely melody.  On the palate, the cherry shines through initially but the transition to midpalate elevates the baking spices and vanilla following through on the promise of the nose.  The finish is where this barrel takes it to another level.  The baking spices escalate even further combined with the cherry and sweetness creating a cherry coffee cake.  The spice, tobacco and oak continue to linger well after your sip.
