Bluegrass Distillers 18-Year 128 Proof Single Barrel Bourbon - Selected by Seelbach's

Regular price $399.99 Sale

Age: 18-Years

Proof: 128 proof

Mash bill: 74/18/8 Corn/Rye/Malted barley

Tasting Notes: The nose is rich - a mix between peanut butter caramel pie and pecan pie, antique oak, ginger cookies, gobs of nougat, and berries topped with powdered sugar.

The palate is creamy and gripping - like getting the first scoop of creme brûlée with blueberries and blackberries. Custard, berries, raisin, a bit of expressed orange peel, and lingering chocolate pie with plenty of antique oak and leather moving down the tongue and over to the sides of the mouth.

The finish is spiced Derby pie thats been aged in a barrel for 18-years, just chewy, sweet, nipping with some tea tannin yet beautifully oaked for the age with lingering rich fruitiness continuing on.

About: Bluegrass Distillers’ 18‑Year Elkwood Reserve is an ultra‑rare, single‑barrel Kentucky straight bourbon aged nearly two decades to peak maturity and bottled at cask strength. Selected from exceptional barrels originally distilled in Bardstown, KY, this limited release delivers a rich, full‑bodied profile layered with toasted caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, and deep oak spice, balanced by subtle honeyed sweetness and hints of dried citrus. With fewer than 100 bottles typically drawn from each barrel, Elkwood Reserve 18‑Year stands as a collector’s treasure and a masterclass in the elegance and intensity only time can create.

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
