Regular price $89.99 Sale

Age: 6 Years

Proof: 119.4 proof

Mash bill: 60% Corn, 36% Rye, 4% Malted Barley

Tasting Notes:  The nose opens with a bold punch that deepens as it breathes with layered aromas of butterscotch, toffee, honey, and apple swirling with high-rye bursts and a subtle undertone of oak. On the palate, the flavors hit with force and glide into an impressively long finish. Butterscotch, toffee, and custard form a rich sweetness, balanced by rye spice, coriander, and roasted chestnuts. The finish echoes and adds dark honey and oak at the back of the throat, while the rye spice continues to deliver a relentless tingle on the tongue.

Details: Picked in February 2025 in the aftermath of a snowstorm that shut down most of the city, Bardstown Bourbon Company stayed open for us so that we could choose this monster.  This is a collaboration pick between Dusty Dan’s Whiskey Reviews, Hello Again Whiskey Friends, and Drifting Drams (along with other great whiskey friends on the tasting panel).

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
