For 142 proof it certainly doesn’t give way to that on the nose - cherry tobacco, molasses, rich leather, chocolate iced donuts, orange peel, clove and nutmeg with a barbecue smokiness the longer it rests.

The palate is initially enveloping with a mouth-cooling spice sensation. Tart cherry, leather, black pepper, salted caramel, with dark chocolate and slightly smokey earthiness continuing long and lingering.

The finish is long, dry, and spiced, hugging like there is no tomorrow.
