The Buffalo Trace Barrel Is In

Good things come to those that wait. Buffalo Trace really tested that quote on this barrel. It was originally scheduled for a June bottling. That was quickly pushed back to July. However, because of delays on the bottling line, it didn't take place until September. Not a big deal. Then came some more waiting. It was a flurry of email chains between myself, Buffalo Trace and the distributor. In the end, everyone worked hard to get us this barrel. And, I'm not one to complain about an almost 9-year Buffalo Trace!
Because of all of this, I dubbed this barrel "Lost Buffalo". I know this has been a long process so I appreciate everyone's patience. Because of that, I'm not going to put a limit on the number of bottles you can buy. Feel free to stock up!

Tasting Notes:
The nose and taste are vanilla and fruity. There are a lot of blackberry and raspberry notes. It's a great balance with a hit of black pepper halfway through. This bourbon reminds me of blackberry cobbler with a buttery crust and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
