Seelbach's Richland Barrel Named Best American Rum by Forbes

When I selected this barrel I thought it was special. But, selecting barrels is kind of like watching your kids play sports. Every parent thinks their kid was a superstar. It was great to receive some validation when spirit writer, Fred Minnick, named Richland Cask Strength Rum the best American Rum of 2018 in Forbes!
Seelbach's is the only place to purchase the barrel that Fred tasted for this article. There are still some bottles left. If you haven't tried it already you may want to go ahead and give it a try. If you already have a bottle, now may be the time to grab a back up. When these last few bottles are gone it's gone forever.
Fred Minnick's Review:
Richland’s new charred oak style is quite evident. It noses similarly to a bourbon, with hints of oak, caramel, butterscotch and vanilla. Then, on the palate, smoke and spice lead the way, with hints of caraway and a back palate cherry, a note that normally hits on the front of the palate for me. From here, it’s baking spice and the return of butterscotch, all over a mouthcoating moutfheel. It finishes long and strong with a hint of caramel chew.
