Stetson Saddles Up With Kentucky Bourbon

Over 160 years after John B. Stetson made a key symbol of the American West, the Stetson name is back with a new Kentucky bourbon. Now, we've seen celebrity or extension brands before in the bourbon world. But, few that have approached it in the right way bring the familiarity of the brand. Use a blender that is one of the best in bourbon. And most importantly, an approachable retail price. I'm excited to introduce Stetson Bourbon!

The road to this bottle was three years in the making. Stetson aimed to find a whiskey that had a mature, well-rounded base. He wanted one with a higher rye content for extra spice and character. It also needed to be strong enough to enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. That search eventually brought the team to Kentucky and Master Blender Dan Callaway.

Callaway managed the sourcing and blending. They sorted through barrels and samples to create the final proprietary blend. Stetson blends 7+ year bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company and Green River Distilling Co. It’s bottled at 100 proof.

The profile hits plenty of familiar Kentucky bourbon notes. It starts with buttery oak, caramel, and vanilla on the nose. Brandied fruit, cinnamon, and baking spice follow on the palate before a clean finish of light rye spice.

For a name synonymous with the American West, it took a trip east to Kentucky to find the right whiskey. Three years later, Stetson Bourbon is finally here.
