12 Days of Whiskey is our favorite stretch of the year at Seelbach’s. Every drop is intentional: from unique finds, special releases, and the return of some fan-favorite bottles. For 2025 we think we’ve outdone ourselves.

Next up we have an incredible value with the return of OKI Single Barrel Rye!

O.K.I. is no stranger here on Seelbach's, but it's been some time since we featured a single barrel rye. While we've seen most recently the release of their Double Oaked, and a few different bourbon single barrels, during our last round of sampling it was this rye that stood out - and in an age range we haven't had many appearances from in 2025. 7-9 year Indiana ryes can be some of our favorite. They are starting to lean into the oak, but still having plenty of vibrant character. This barrel is a perfect example of that! Plus, a 9-year age stated rye for 60 bucks? This just may be one of the best values we have right now.

The nose opens with warming baked apples, sweet mint, lemon meringue pie, and dried coconut, all wrapped in rich, creamy vanilla-coated oak.

The palate is immediately rich and syrupy, full of spiced vanilla cream and balanced sweet oak. While fruitiness isn’t the focus, dark berry saturation grips the palate as candied citrus lays across the tongue, joined by a continuing spiced cream-soda sweetness.

The finish is long and tingly with toasted lemon and orange peel, clove, black pepper, and that vanilla-kissed oak lingering throughout.
