Manifest sourced 2,000 gallons of Intuition Ale Works’ Underdark Stout. The Underdark was distilled on a copper hybrid pot still and put away in 53-gallon, char #4 casks. The distillers at Manifest slightly modified the grain bill used for the brewery's Underdark beer. The mash was cooked, lautered and fermented at Intuition, then distilled, aged and blended next door at Manifest Distilling. Once those barrels started to age, Manifest quickly realized this would be the second release of the Manifest Whiskey Project.
The result is an incredible American single malt whiskey!

The Manifest Whiskey Project will always be special to me. This was the first major co-branded release I ever did. You can read more about that here. I thought it would be difficult to top batch 1 would be hard to top. There were a lot of different ideas thrown around for batch 2 that ultimately fell flat. Then I tasted the white dog from the Underdark distillate and knew manifest was on to something special. They let it age for 2.5 years and ended up with something special!
