Lost Lantern is shining a light on the independent spirit. That's a great tag line, but what does it mean? Lost Lantern visits every distillery they source from. In fact, they spent an entire year traveling across the United States in search of great whiskey. They crisscrossed the country, visiting distilleries in dozens of states. They met founders and distillers who bet their livelihoods for a chance to make whiskey. Lost Lantern took on one of the most ambitious craft distilling projects I've seen. They worked with six distilleries to create a unique vatted single malt. But, more about that below.
Lost Lantern American Vatted Malt Edition No. 1
Lost Lantern American Vatted Malt Edition No. 1 is one of the first blends of single malts ever made in the United States. More than that, it represents the whiskey world’s true spirit of collaboration and harmony. We brought together the founders and distillers behind some of the country’s most distinctive single malts, all of whom hand-selected barrels for this unique blend. Over the course of a single marathon day, we worked, tasted, and blended together. The result was this unique and special blend.
Lost Lantern American Vatted Malt Edition No. 1 is a 12-barrel blend of single malt whiskies from six distilleries:
- Balcones in Waco, Texas
- Copperworks in Seattle, Washington
- Santa Fe Spirits in Santa Fe, New Mexico
- Triple Eight on Nantucket, Massachusetts
- Westward in Portland, Oregon
- Virginia Distillery Co. in Lovingston, Virginia

Lost Lantern Ironroot Republic Single Cask Straight Corn Whiskey
Details: A 4-year-old straight corn whiskey from a distillery just south of the Oklahoma border.
Quantity: Approximately 100 750 ml bottles or 8 9L Cases
Proof: Cask Strength; 128.6 proof
Age: 4 years

Lost Lantern Single Cask#3 New York Distilling Company Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in an Apple Brandy Cask
This single cask comes from New York Distilling Co. Located in the heart of Brooklyn (with an additional distillery location upstate), NYDC is one of the country’s first urban distilleries and a champion of the rebirth of both gin and rye whiskey in the Empire State.
Made primarily with New York grains, this cask tastes like a Viennese apple strudel, loaded with baking spice and harvest fruit flavors.
Proof: Natural Cask Strength; 119.2

Mashbill: 75% rye, 15% corn, and 10% malted barley.
Barrel Details: 53-gallon new American oak cask for primary maturation.
