Lost Lantern SUMMER 2025 Collection

|

While we’ve always championed Lost Lantern for embracing all styles of American whiskey and spotlighting unique craft distilleries across the country, their focus on estate distilleries in this Summer Collection speaks directly to one of our core values at Seelbach’s.

The Lost Lantern Summer 2025 Collection celebrates the emergence of a truly new phenomenon in American whiskey: the estate distillery, a distillery that makes whiskey from grain grown entirely on their own land. While estate wineries are revered in the wine world, estate distilleries were almost unheard of until recently, and there are still, out of the 3,000+ distilleries in the United States, just a handful of true estate distilleries.

Estate distilleries make whiskies that offer a true sense of place, shaped entirely by the land, the climate, and the people who tend both. This Collection celebrates four estate distilleries in particular: Frey Ranch in Nevada, Corbin Cash in California, and new Lost Lantern partners Whiskey Acres in Illinois and Far North Spirits in Minnesota. Though they come from different corners of the country and very different climates, these four distilleries share a common ethos and vision for making whiskies that truly reflect the land, while emphasizing the importance of stewarding the land itself. And that's no surprise: all four of these distilleries are founded and owned by multi-generational farming families that have worked their land for a century or more and now have found a new way to share the bounty of their land with whiskey lovers across the country.

In addition to the Summer Collection, we also have a restock of Far-Flung Bourbon III which sold out quickly from the Spring Collection.

Farmers' Fields Bourbon

A Blend of Estate-Grown Bourbons from Far North, Frey Ranch, and Whiskey Acres.

This special release brings together estate-grown straight bourbon whiskies from the country’s finest estate distilleries, each founded and run by farmers whose families have farmed their land for generations. Bold, rich, earthy, and grain-forward, this is a whiskey truly born of the land.

Farmers' Fields Rye

A Blend of Estate-Grown Ryes from Corbin Cash, Far North, Frey Ranch, and Whiskey Acres.

We think rye shows the effect of the climate where it's grown and matured even more than bourbon does, so this blend is particularly unique, bringing together the climates of Nevada, Minnesota, California, and Illinois together as one. Slightly closer to the classic rye profile than the bourbon is to a standard bourbon profile, this is fresh, grassy, and spicy.

Frey Ranch Estate-Grown Nevada Straight Wheat Whiskey

Made from 100% Frey Ranch-grown soft white winter wheat, this single cask has a warm, spicy, fruity nose, with notes of cherry blossoms and spring flowers. The soft, creamy palate has hints of strawberries and cream, rounded oak, and gentle spice. Like all the best straight wheat whiskies, this is subtle and complex yet with real heft.

Far North Estate-Grown Minnesota Straight Rye Whiskey

This is their first Minnesota whiskey, a 4-year-old single cask rye made from 65% Hazlet rye, 25% heirloom corn, and 10% malted barley. It has bright, fresh aromas of lemon bars, vanilla buttercream, and herbal notes. The palate is grain-forward and custardy, with layers of rye spice, pink peppercorn, and fresh grass. A classic cold-climate rye whiskey.

Corbin Cash Estate-Grown California Straight Rye Whiskey

Corbin Cash, the century-old sweet potato farm turned estate distillery, has been one of Lost Lantern's most popular distillery partners in recent years. This 7 year old single cask rye has intense baking spice, full oak, and rich sweetness.

Frey Ranch Estate-Grown Nevada Straight Rye Whiskey

Their first Frey Ranch straight rye whiskey was aged for 6 years in a 53-gallon barrel. Made from 100% Frey Ranch-grown winter rye, this single cask has bold aromas of mint chocolate brownies and warm oak. The palate is bright and fresh, with notes of mint chocolate chip ice cream, vanilla, and balanced oak spice. Deep, complex, and full of flavor.

Whiskey Acres Estate-Grown Illinois Straight Bourbon

A fifth-generation family farm and estate distillery in the heart of Illinois corn country, Whiskey Acres experiments extensively with unique grain varietals, grown with modern agricultural precision. 5 years old, made with 75% yellow dent corn, 15% wheat, and 10% malted barley. The nose is bright and balanced, with notes of honey-drizzled cornbread, nutmeg, and roasted coffee. The palate is soft and rounded, with layers of oak, spice, vanilla, and caramel.
