Four Gate 10 Year Single Barrel Special Release Foundation & River Kelvin Rye + Toasted Bourbon Single Barrel

resh off the heels of the third annual Four Gate Whiskey Company private barrel selections, Four Gate is doing a special release of 10-Year Foundation Kentucky Straight Bourbon single barrels and 10-Year River Kelvin Rye single barrels. These 26 (total) barrels were selected by the CBOs of Four Gate, referring to Chief Barrel Officer, Bob D’Antoni, and Chief Blending Officer, Bill Straub. and sent to various retailers. Barrel number and proof may vary, but still barrel proof and non-chill filtered.
In addition to last months Private Selects (7 year rye finished in a new toasted Kelvin cask and a 7 year bourbon finished in a Spanish Oloroso Sherry-Dark Rum cask), we also have one final Private Select to end the year on: a 7 Year bourbon finished in toasted Kelvin.
Warm vanilla custard topped with Chinese five spice and pepper. Rich with lots of toasted oak and spice notes. The sweetness balance nicely through it all.
