Bardstown Bourbon Co. Discovery Series #11

Bardstown Bourbon Co. Discovery Series #11

Regular price $149.99 Sale

Proof: 118.1 proof

Tasting Notes: A vibrant blend of rainier cherry, butterscotch, brown sugar, and roasted peanut leads to a spirited palate of toffee and cinnamon spice. The indelible finish of ripe red fruit and luscious oak rounds out this remarkable Kentucky bourbon.

Seelbach's Notes: Nose is honey sweetened plums and raisin, with beautifully balanced oak in the finish.

Let it rest in the glass for several minutes and it will continue to sweeten, honey turning to maple, confectioners’ sugar and raspberry. The oak still wonderfully balanced.

The palate is a deeper, more complex version of everything found in the nose. The fruits expand with raspberry and cherry, the oak gets more expansive and leans into touches of leather and tobacco. If one thing I notice it’s the absence of aggressive spice. Just creamy, complex, and balanced.

The finish is long, semi-dry and trailing with oak and berries.

About the product: Our discovery series highlights the art of blending, creating exciting expressions that together are greater than the sum of its parts. Through artfully combining rare and exemplary whiskies we discover from all over the world, this series pushes the boundaries of innovation by creating completely unique flavor profiles and styles. Each release gives you something new to discover.

Kings County Distillery is New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery, the first since Prohibition. Founded in 2010, Kings County uses New York grain and traditional distilling equipment to produce whiskey in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from the former waterfront distillery district and the legendary site of the 1860s Brooklyn Whiskey Wars. Every drop the distillery sells is made in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
