|In today's Bourbonr Pro release we have two new rye whiskies. Nashville Barrel Co. has garnered a lot of attention in the bourbon forums. This is their first small batch release. Hughes Bros. Distillery has flown under the radar. But, they have 8-year-old MGP rye whiskey that is fantastic! More details on both products below.

Tasting Notes: Nose - Cinnamon stick | Touch of oak | White pepper | Hint of rye spice | Big dose of lush fruits. Taste - Charred oak | Sweet vanilla | Leather | Pepper | Hints of dark cherries | Earthy flavors keep sweeter ones at bay. Finish - Creamy vanilla | Oak | Dried leather | Dash of rye spice | Short and crisp.

Tasting Notes: The nose has rich rye notes. There are pepper, canned peach, and a hint of leather. The taste is orange sherbert. There are some anise and dried almonds towards the back of the palate. The finish is long. Lots of peach iced tea and lingering sweetness.
