The honey is back! This time in a barrel proof version from Shortbarrel Whiskey Co. We don't have a lot of this release. But, we're dropping it today to coordinate with the release in Atlanta. Here are the details.
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has been double baked, toasted, and honey-finished. We started with a 50/50 blend of 4-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company and 5-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon from Green River Distillery. After blending, we added the bourbon back into 4 of Atlanta’s Own Honey Next Door Honey Barrels – 1 Medium Toast Barrel and 3 Kentucky Straight Heavy Char Bourbon Barrels. After aging for at least 60 days, we re-blended the barrels and bottled this release at barrel-proof.
