Our Next Elijah Craig Barrel Pick Is Here 🥃

We're taking a little bit of a breather this week after the 12 Days of Whiskey, but still not stopping with some great releases as we wind down 2025!
Â
We've had a steady stream of heritage barrel picks lately, and today is no exception. You may remember April last year we introduced you all to the Seelbach's Heritage Collection. Since the beginning of the 2024 we've included a carefully chosen selection from some of the heritage distillers and blenders. Surprisingly (or maybe not so) , you all seem to really like the chance to find some of those releases all in one place! With that comes the opportunity for a few barrel picks of our own, and our Elijah Craig Barrel picks are always some of the most well received. Â This time Dee selected this delicious 9-yr coming in at 125.6 proof, bumping up the proof and the age a bit from our previous single barrel .
Â
The nose is pronounced notes of raw almonds & hazelnut, a concentrated mix of dehydrated fruit, creme brûlée with a freshly torched caramel chip, vanilla bean ice cream, wafts of extinguished smoke & oak dust. With just a few moments to breathe, the dehydrated fruit mix progresses into a deliciously ripe strawberry. Â
Â
An immediate burst of dark chocolate powder and black tea leaves transition into soft waves of leather, bark, and pronounced baking spices on the palate.
Â
The finish is long and increasingly chocolatey, with a backbone of toasted oak, cloves and worn leather.
