O.H. Ingram River Aged Whiskey

|

When I first heard about river aged barrels I thought it was interesting but a little gimmicky. That was until I dove into the process and history. O.H. Ingram built a floating warehouse on a barge. The idea was to to replicate the movement of barrels transported down the rivers on flatboats to New Orleans. This was a common route for distillers in Kentucky in the 19th century. O.H. Ingram didn't rush the experiment either. These barrels spent up to 3-years on the barge rickhouse. After tasting the bottle I knew it was one that I needed on the site. A blend of a funky story and a really good product is the Seelbach's formula!
