We had a feeling our Cabernet finished single barrel would get a strong response after so many great Jimmy Red releases last year, but we didn’t expect it to go that fast! That’s why we’re running it back with another exciting new offering from the High Wire team - along with one of our favorite re-releases.
Introducing Jimmy Red Double Oak. This flavorful expression is created by finishing the beloved Jimmy Red straight bourbon whiskey in a new Char 1 barrel, adding layers of complexity and richness. Bottled at 107 proof, fans of double oaked products will appreciate its balanced sweetness and spice. It also makes a great gateway for fans of Woodford Double Oaked or Maker’s 46 thanks to its rich, spiced, nutty, and woody finish.
Dessert-like tones dominate, with rich vanilla ice cream, buttery chess pie, and slightly spiced dried fruits. These notes deepen into a warm, slightly perfumed, and inviting oak presence.
Surprisingly coating for its 107 proof, the palate opens with layers of toasted vanilla cream and roasted pecans. Spiced dried fruits emerge mid-palate, building in complexity alongside a well-seasoned, enduring oak.
The finish softens slightly but remains flavorful, lingering with sweet, charred oak and warming spice and lasting caramel.

We've also re-stocked the Jimmy Red Bourbon finished in Peach Brandy casks. To create this instant classic, High Wire fills their freshly dumped Peach Brandy casks with Jimmy Red Bourbon to form a perfect mingling of their two most beloved spirits.
Bottled at 95 proof, this one is dangerously sippable neat - creamy, fruity, and smooth - but it also makes a fantastic julep for anyone still enjoying mint cocktails post-Derby.
The nose gives you all the silky vanilla ice cream-like sweetness you’ve come to expect from the Jimmy Red, but adds in warm peach cobbler with slightly toasted crust.
The palate follows much like the nose, freshly baked peach cobbler, toasted graham crumble, and a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top.
The finish is long, silky sweet, and subtly spiced. A beautifully harmonized finished bourbon.
