Frank August Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Occasionally, there's a release that throws me. Not in a negative way. But, a release that grabs my attention more than most. Frank August is one of those releases! When it popped up on social media I automatically thought it was a celebrity, named Frank August, that I've never heard of with their new overpriced bottle. To my surprise, the bottle was priced at $69. And, despite the Frank Lloyd Wright aesthetics, there is no celebrity connection. I was intrigued and decided to dive in.
After a few hours of playing internet sleuth I got a better idea on "who is Frank August?" There are several threads guessing the source. We do know it's aged and distilled in Kentucky and 4+ years old. But the important question is, is it good? For that, I can give an absolute YES. The packaging is fantastic. The bourbon is great. Because of that we've decided to include it on Seelbach's. We hope the Frank August story continues to evolve. For now, we'll just enjoy this bottle.
Frank August is a modern expression of what bourbon is, what it can represent. We believe bourbon has a more expansive story to still tell, one for all of us, because it will be told by all of us.
