Field of Dreams Whiskey is back again with their 2025 Player Series. Whiskey, from the Most Famous Cornfield in the World - the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa. A love letter to baseball written by former major leaguers, this whiskey is made from the actual corn grown in the famous Iowa cornfield that served as the backdrop for the iconic 1989 movie. This year's Seelbach's allocation includes some of the biggest names in the sport, from inner circle hall-of-famers to every MLB award winner from the 2024 season, including the record-breaker whose 54 home runs inspired the 54% ABV of this whiskey.
This year's release of the player series is limited to only 23,370 bottles produced - one for every player in the history of the big leagues through the 2024 season.
Every bottle corresponds to a player's debut. Find out who you're drinking at https://drinkfieldofdreams.com/bottlelookup
Whether it's the Great Bambino or the next big thing, the odds of pulling a great bottle are highest here at Seelbach's. We only have a limited portion of their allocation available, and this is one of our biggest releases each year, so don't miss out!
The nose is full of confectionary sweetness - butterscotch candies and bear claws (or turtles), so expect to find silky milk chocolate, caramel, and fresh pecans, along with lemon curd and freshly oiled leather glove.
The palate is a bit more coating, but still similar flavor of pocket as their releases before. Chewy toffee with dusty caramel, dried cherry, freshly baked pecan pie (filling and crust) and lasting dried leather.
The finish is my favorite part. It remains rounded and balanced - pecan pie, brown sugar, toasted meringue, and dried red fruit with soft leather continuing and this lovely oak presence picking up well into the long finish.
