Ass Pocket Whiskey (APW) has made quite the splash in the industry since early last year when Derek Trucks and his brother David joined us in the Seelbach’s studio to taste their Brotherly Release. Today, we’re back with their oldest release yet.
Last year on tour, Derek tasted a 20-year-old cask-strength Tennessee whiskey and locked down a limited run of barrels to share. The result: APW No. 5 🥃 Now available to crack open in 2-packs, which arrive in collectible boxes.
The nose opens with fresh-baked apple strudel with candy icing, wisps of nutmeg, and caraway.
The palate brings toasted marshmallow, sugar maple, cocoa, and molasses cookie.
The finish lingers with avena con leche, an oaky campfire note, and overripe blueberries.
