Tasting Notes:
The nose is luscious, honied green apple notes, a blast of orange and lemon oil, candied baking spices and a fragrant and slightly toasted mint note.
The palate is electric - bright candied citrus and wintergreen initially that quickly begins to transitions more wide and creamy as it sits, before a deep, integrated, toasted oak.
The finish is long and warming, with a plethora of spices, burnt orange peel, and charred oak and longer linger of black tea.
About Starlight: Starlight Distillery is a family-owned distillery in Starlight, IN. The distillery started out as a family farm in 1940. It's had multiple evolutions over the years. In 1978, the Huber's started their winery. Then in 2000 the Huber's took the next step and received approval to open the distillery. Starlight is farm-focused and produces many single-origin products. I think they're the only distillery I know that is a working farm, orchard, market, tourist destination, winery, banquet hall, and distillery!
