Tasting Notes: Orange creamsicle. It's like someone made an old fashioned out of an orange creamsicle. The sweetness moves to a mineral note that I love. Without sounding like Bob Ross it smells like fresh mountain water. The palate dries out a little. Black pepper and baking spice are predominant. The sweetness from the nose is subdued. It finishes with a note of toasted coconut.
If you're looking for somewhere to start with craft distilled bourbon, this is your bottle. There are enough familiar notes for the traditional bourbon drinker. But, it incorporates some nuanced flavor from the Finger Lakes craft whiskey making process that make it unique.
