Four Gate Whiskey Private Select Kentucky Bourbon - Seelbach's Barrel No. 9
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in A New Toasted Oak Cask
Mashbill: 75/21/4 Corn/Rye/Malted Barley
Bount Count: 192
Tasting Notes: The nose is round with great influence from the toasted oak. There are notes of vanilla, banana and cinnamon toast crunch. The palate touches on some of the same notes. But, then it builds with a touch of campfire smoke and orange zest. There's a hint of coffee beans as the whiskey moves to the back of the palate. The finish is long! It's a long finishes and then keeps going. The finish shows off the proof with notes of oak and black pepper.
This is the first ever single barrel picks from Four Gate Whiskey Company! Four Gate is know for their partnership with Kelvin Cooperage. This partnership has produced some incredible batches from Four Gate. That's why when Four Gate started to explore single barrel options it only made sense to utilize a secondary cask from Kelvin. The addition of this toasted barrel really amplifies this high-rye bourbon. We're proud to have one of the first private barrels from Four Gate.
