Tasting Notes: The nose is dark brown sugar and toasted coconut rice crispy treat. There's a little mint of the backend of the nose. The palate is creme brulee and burnt orange. There's bright fruit. It's like a maraschino cherry. I get a little bit of dry baking spice towards the back of the palate. The rye spice starts to show on the finish. It starts subtly. Black pepper and cinnamon start to shine.
Backstory: We took the sweet softness of our Huling Station Straight Wheat Whiskey, and blended it with the bold warmth and complexity of our Huling Station Straight Bourbon to create something unique. Our Huling Station Blend is warm, inviting and brings together everything we love about our other whiskey mash bills. This blend is a perfect harmony between the spicy whiskeys characteristic of the pre-prohibition age and the sweeter drams favored by many modern whiskey lovers.
The name pays homage to where the Old Dominick story began in 1866, a bustling the warehouse where D. Canale first sold his bourbon in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, with each sip invoking a feeling of rediscovery.
